Our HR community has helped LafargeHolcim with a staff shortage.



Due to the merger between Lafarge and Holcim as well as a resulting reorganisation of the corporate functions, the HR team of LafargeHolcim already faced a great challenge. The department was also burdened by the loss of internal HR staff, resulting in a shortage of personnel in the areas of organisation, time management, personnel administration and payroll. LafagreHolcim needed immediate, external HR support.


HR Campus provided five payroll specialists from its HR community (three internal and two external). They in part took over the entire payroll and personnel administration. The following requirements were given.

  • Takeover of the entire payroll and personnel administration
  • Implementation of an internal application process including new employment contracts for 700 employees
  • Development of a completely new "Global Corporate SAP Organisational Structure"
  • Support for internal HR staff in introducing Workday


The extensive technical background knowledge of the HR Campus specialists has helped LafargeHolcim significantly in achieving success during this demanding phase. HR Campus was also able to call on specific internal consultants for specific technical difficulties. The temporary experts were also able to respond with great empathy and sensitivity to the stress caused by the merger and reorganisation. LafargeHolcim continues to counts on the help of HR People for short-term bottlenecks.
