Background
At the Brüggli retirement and care home, an unexpected vacancy in the HR department created an urgent need for action. The key HR contact was absent at short notice, whilst operational tasks such as applications, staff joining and leaving, apprentice reviews, personnel administration and the preparation of the payroll had to continue without interruption.
At the same time, it was necessary to reorganise HR matters, set priorities and drive processes forward in a targeted manner. An experienced HR generalist was required to take on full HR responsibility whilst also acting as a competent point of contact for staff and managers.

Solution
HR Campus provided the Brüggli Retirement and Care Home with an experienced and pragmatic HR specialist from the HR People Community at short notice. From September 2025 to April 2026, she was solely responsible for HR and took on a broad HR generalist role. She quickly got to grips with the role, set priorities and reliably carried on with the day-to-day HR tasks.
In addition to her professional expertise, she brought with her a keen understanding of the culture at the Brüggli retirement and care home. She combined professionalism with pragmatism, humour and an approachable manner.
Results
The Brüggli retirement and care home was able to maintain stable HR operations throughout the assignment. The HR specialist deployed by HR Campus took on key responsibilities, re-launched initial processes and brought greater structure to important HR matters. At the same time, she managed the recruitment and induction of the new HR Heads, prepared the succession plan and ensured a smooth handover.
Thus, an urgent vacancy was transformed into an interim HR solution that brought stability, provided direction and further developed the HR function in a targeted manner.
