External workforces are becoming increasingly important in our society. According to a global study, 44 % of total workforce expenditure in companies is already attributable to external labour.1 In Switzerland, 25 % are already working on a project-based, temporary and additional basis. A further 25 % will do so in the near future.2
The trend towards more external employees is being driven by both employees and employers. Employees appreciate the flexibility and self-determination that new forms of work bring.
