A Structured Diagnosis for a Coherent HR Architecture

After an initial failed attempt at digitalisation, Gaznat AG was left with an incomplete HR solution and inefficient processes. To avoid repeating mistakes, the company decided on a strategic restart: a thorough analysis of the current situation and a clear definition of requirements. The HR Health Check from HR Campus was used to comprehensively analyse the HR and Payroll environment. This resulted in a clear Roadmap for a company-orientated integration.

Initial situation

Gaznat AG launched a digitalisation project in 2022 with the aim of centralising HR processes and making them more efficient. An HR platform and a payroll accounting tool were introduced for this purpose. In theory, both solutions should function as an integrated system. In practice, however, it quickly became apparent that the integration between the HR platform (front end) and the Payroll system (back end) was inadequate. Data flows were not fully automated and interfaces had technical limitations. As a result, information had to be entered multiple times, processes remained time-consuming and the expected efficiency gains failed to materialise.

Project

To avoid making a second strategic mistake, Gaznat AG decided in favour of a structured and independent approach. The company commissioned HR Campus to carry out an HR Health Check, a comprehensive analysis of the existing processes and systems. Together, the current situation, the actual needs and the desired HR IT architecture were defined. This resulted in a clear catalogue of requirements, which served as the basis for evaluating suitable solutions. The aim was not just to replace individual tools, but to create a coherent, scalable and integrated HR system landscape.

Results

The structured approach provided Gaznat AG with a clear vision for its future HR architecture. Requirements were prioritised and a basis for decision-making was created for the next steps in the digital transformation. Instead of being limited by existing technologies, the company regained control of its HR digitalisation - with a strategic, sustainable and future-oriented perspective.
