How HR Campus came to be the charming mountain hotel in St. Antönien

Have you ever been to the typical Walser village of St. Antönien? In this beautiful place of power, we get to hold exciting workshops with our customers and get inspired. But how did it come about that HR Campus has a Vision Centre in the middle of the Grisons mountain landscape? Marek tells us.

Around ten years ago, Marek bought a small holiday home for his family in the beautiful Prättigau mountaineering village of St. Antönien. On the very first day, the family visited the "Hotel Madrisajoch" restaurant in the evening. Everyone immediately felt at home in the cosy atmosphere and the food was excellent. They were always happy to return. But there seemed to be something wrong with the tenant. Marek, persistent as he is, uncovered the irregularities together with the hotel owner after a while. The tenant was given notice and the hotel stood empty for over a year.

The hotel was actually supposed to be converted into flats. Unfortunately, the building zone in which the hotel was located did not permit this, so the planning application was rejected by the municipality. The hotel owner was just as persistent as Marek and kept offering to buy the hotel. After more than 10 enquiries, Marek finally agreed and bought the Hotel Madrisajoch. The whole family, especially Danuta, invested a lot of time and love in the renovation and the result was a cosy and idyllic boutique hotel with a great wellness oasis that invites you to relax.

A new chef was quickly found. Heiko focussed on products from local farmers, grew much of the produce himself in the hotel's own garden and spoiled the guests with unique creations. He was extremely creative and filled the menu with his own creations, such as a hay and straw ice cream. The cosy hotel and the extraordinary restaurant were very popular and are even said to have once hosted a royal family over New Year's Eve.

The municipality also saw great potential, which is why they offered Marek a seminar room in the village. Marek immediately had some crazy ideas and renovated the room. He wanted to organise large project kick-offs with HR Campus customers in this idyllic place of power. Far away from the stress of everyday life and fully focussed on the project, processes that would otherwise take several weeks can be shortened to four days. Ingenious! Relaxation was also provided: for example, during guided herbal walks, e-biking, in the rustic wellness grotto or in the outdoor hot tub under the starry sky.

Giacomo Telesca and Jasmin Rehmann were at the Hotel Madrisajoch with a customer last September. During four intensive workshop days, they focused entirely on process optimisation in HR. Just how focussed the Team was became clear on the third day of the workshop, which they held in a restaurant after a short e-bike ride around Lake Partun. Suddenly, all the participants received text messages asking if everything was OK. The reason was a rockfall on the Sulzfluh mountain opposite. But the whole group was so engrossed that they didn't notice! ( Reporting from 20 Minuten on the incident )

The hotel has been operated by new tenants since the beginning of this year. Tanja Steinman and her Team spoil their guests as well as us and our customers.
