On 4 March 2021, HR Campus created a virtual space to discuss the current and future world of work. 120 participants discussed visionary and current HR topics at the HR Innovation Campus. They were inspired by seven unconventional DisruptHR presentations.
Following the great success of the first HR Innovation Campus in 2019, HR Campus once again championed the development and strengthening of the HR World and the modern labour market with the second Barcamp this year. Partners DisruptHR ZRH and SPOT ON , HR Cosmos and HR Today united the Swiss HR community at this collaborative event. After disruptive inputs in the form of short presentations, the 120 invited HR managers were then able to share their own experiences. Moderator Gülsha Adilji and Felix Anderegg led the virtual event live from Kraftwerk Zurich with humour and charm.
"Teach us something, but make it quick!"
In line with the motto "Teach us something, but make it quick!", DisruptHR ZRH got to the heart of important pain points and highlights of our time with short 5-minute presentations by labour market experts. The seven speakers presented a colourful bouquet of personal stories, provocative statements and pleaded for courage in HR.
Open debates for more innovation in HR
After a short break, the moderators opened the discussion and open exchange. As part of the barcamp, topics from the audience's everyday HR life were collected and then discussed in 20 self-organised sessions. Various HR challenges were the subject of lively debate in the barcamp sessions: From the advantages and disadvantages of hiring on a virtual basis, to contemporary performance management and corporate culture despite home offices. Controversial debates on women's and LGBT quotas and the demand for pay transparency were also included.
The interactive discussion was worth its weight in gold for the HR community in the current times in order to inspire and learn from each other. After all, knowledge and skills are created through exchange - even in HR. Once again, the HR Innovation Campus has shown that HR is indispensable for the modern Swiss labour market and will become a "game changer" in the transformation through mutual exchange.
